Born 1992, Tucker Claxton is from Lenexa Kansas. Tucker has had a fascination with clay since he was a child. From digging clay out of the ground to trips to potters with his grandmother. The artists have had a personal connection with the material. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics and his Bachelor of Science in Art Education at Kansas State University, during his time at K-State; Tucker has received the, Jason Skylar Harper Memorial scholarship, Yoshi and Easter Ikeda scholarship, and Kansas State University’s Department of Art scholarship for his academic merits and artistic prowess. In 2015 Tucker was Apart of the Red Lodge Clay Studio’s first Advanced Student Project Network Residency. The artist has shown around Kansas and Montana.  Currently is in Florida and an Artist in residence at the Morean Center for Clay
